Michele Perissinotto was born in Mestre, Venice, in 1990. Graduated in product design at the IUAV University of Venice in 2013, he combines his experiences in Italian and international studios with collaboration in university teaching.
He accompanies his practice with a continuous research on the materials, their limits and their production processes. Traditions, gestures and daily rituals, interpreted with simplicity and irony, converge in the development of his projects.
Andrea Fantinato, I studied in Venice, I live and work in Milan. After a series of
collaborations in design studios, I gave birth to Andrea Fantinato Studio in Milan,
which combines interior architecture design with product study and photography.
Many of my projects start from the game, from a “light” and ironic vision of living,
some collections are totally modular, others customizable. I am interested in the
project, in the physical interaction with the object, in the manipulation, in the
matter that is shaped but also in stubborn materials that allow constant
evolution. I like that an element can become customizable and transform over
time. I like stories, and living in the present, contemporaneity is given by the
object itself that tells the period in which we live. From the project I try to remove
as much as possible so that it is the individual himself who adds.
Passion, curiosity and research are three ingredients that I always add to all my projects, the experience matters, but I think that every new project has to be faced with the humility of who must begin from zero.
I love the simple shapes of the nature; a shell, a stone; … everything has its precise shape.
At the beginning of each project my feeling changes according to the wish of giving an answer to a specific characteristic that may be functional rather than formal, or rather than to a certain expressive-catching research.
